Bangkok SRA BUA BY KIIN KIIN Turn over the Thai Cuisine
In Thailand, especially the Bangkok center, it’s not difficult to find a high quality and good service restaurant, but it might take some effort to find a place with delicate arrangement to be honorably top 50 of Asia restaurants. Your iBET Beauty Agent – Wei Wei came to visit this Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin in Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok and enjoy our 4 hours French time with some firends!
SRA BUA by Kiin Kiin innovative Thai cuisine was originally Le Guide Michelin in Danmark. The Thailand branch was their first try and did well in Thailand local market. SRA BUA by Kiin Kiin’s first feature is to re-combine the ingredients, in my words, it means to combine lots of elements without any relation perfectly, and so to become an new Thai food stunning no matter with its vision, smell or taste. One of celebrities travel in Thailand once recommended:「This is a magic restaurant!」
The elegance and Zen spirit of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok
Siam Kempinski Hotel is one of famous hotels from Western and also featured by Thailand Royal and business tycoons. It stands well out as 5-star hotel in Bangkok. After passing the corridor with art works decorations, right in front of us is the restaurant. Wei should remind you here that Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin is after all a Michelin restaurant, so it’s not proper to go with short pants, vest, slippers or any informal costume !
It’s quite bright and spacious inside, the ancient layout combines the Thai style and Zen spirit together. The lotus pond was designed from the conception of Thai “Sra Bua”. Sitting in room by the pond we can smell the smooth fragrant of the flowers. The waiters would send us chilling towers and lemon grass tea to relieve our heats from outside.
Michelin Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin re-defines the Thai cuisine
There are two parts of dinner. In appetizer we had it at the sofas in front side of the restaurant. Once sitting well the waiter sent us menu on iPad and introduced for us. Cashew Sesame Cake, Lemon Lotus Dry, Seafood Mousse, Snow Lotus Mousse, Green Grass Frozen Drink, Smoked Chicken Sausage…with total 11 appetizers served our stomach. Not until the waiter reminded us did we noticed that it has been 1 hour passing, some of our friends even thought it’s almost ending.
The main dish is Quail Coconut Milk with Green Curry. This dish stunned me when I first tasted its crispy outside and soft inside. There’s always fresh taste of the combination of Coconut Milk and Green Curry!
Another special dish is the Dongpo pork. Wei Wei once thought it’s a Chinese dish, how could it be in Thai restaurant? “There are many Guangdong people in Thailand actually,” said my friend “they would affect the Thai cuisine.”
